Financial witepapers are generally not the most exciting reads, but when you think about their subject matter in a new way, the design can be beautiful and meaningful.
The financial education challenge
When Momentum became South Africa’s first behavioural investment platform, they released a whitepaper to educate their financial advisers about behaviour tax. To many people, the technical content of the whitepaper was complicated, so Momentum needed a design solution that would entice people to start reading and then keep them engaged.
The design solution
In keeping with the concept of how our emotional reactions to our finances can have a negative impact on our wealth, we designed a visual theme around rorschach (ink blot) imagery, making the link that what we perceive is not always true.
An on-brand, visually arresting design that got the whitepaper the attention it deserved.
